The NMSU Foundation is a non-profit corporation legally separate from New Mexico State University. The following policies have been put in place by the Foundation Board of Directors to govern the Foundation’s fundraising and program spending activities. Consistent with ARP 18.10 Namings and Other Honorific Recognition, the vice president of advancement, with the concurrence of the chancellor or designee, is authorized to issue and amend guidelines and procedures to facilitate the implementation of honorific and philanthropy-based namings. This includes procedures and standardized forms for the associated gift agreements, gift acceptance and receipt, pledges and planned gifts, as well as procedures to take action to remove a name should circumstances so warrant.
Below please find the Minimum Endowment Thresholds, Implementing Guidelines for Namings, and the Naming Request form. To request a naming for consideration, please submit the Naming Request Form to the Office of University Advancement.
